See You Later, Fabio: 21 Games 1 Goal with MU

Manchester United's young defender career, Fabio da Silva, at Old Trafford for a while will stop. Managers 'Red Devils', Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that the Brazilian player will soon be out on loan.

Portugal Liga club, Benfica, is said to be a potential destination for the 21-year-old player. Although Ferguson reveals twin Rafael also attracts the attention of many other clubs.

"Yes, we will lend it, perhaps to Portugal next season," Ferguson said, as quoted by Football365. "This is the best thing for him because the child would be a very good player."

"He's not as strong as his brother (Rafael) but still no sign he'll be better," said Fergie explains.

Fabio season appeared surprisingly early in the Champions League final against Barcelona at Wembley. But this season is less chance of play. Since November, Fabio and even then only appear once as a substitute when Manchester United won 5-0 over Wolves last month.

"It would be very difficult for all players if need be a second choice because Patrice Evra appeared very consistent in the last five years," added Ferguson.

"His brother has proven to perform consistently, and performance is also getting better. One year to experience playing regularly at a high level will make him a top player for us," he said, explaining the reasons of the decision.

Along with his twin brother Fabio, Rafael, has joined the squad for Manchester United since the 2008 season, but the player's back number 20 only appeared 21 times to date, with a notch grain goals.
